Putney's getting a really interesting Indian restaurant, Raaz, from an ex-Kolamba chef
Lucky old Putney folk. They'll no longer have to schlep into town to get great Indian food, with what sounds like a properly interesting neighbourhood restaurant opening on their doorsteps. Raaz (the name means secret but this one's going to get out fast) comes from chef Imran Mansuri who most recently headed up the restaurant at Kolamba in Soho but also has the likes of Michelin-starred restaurants Tamarind and Benares in his CV too.

RAAZ: Michelin-Trained Indian Dining Arrives in Putney
Forget trekking to Mayfair for award-winning Indian food – Putney is about to have its own Michelin-trained chef at the helm. Opening this autumn, RAAZ (meaning “secret” in Hindi) will bring modern Indian cooking with fine-dining precision to SW15, raising the neighbourhood’s culinary game.
That’s Up
Helmed by a chef with extensive experience in the fine dining industry, Raaz brings contemporary Indian fusion south of the river.
The vibey Putney restaurant serves punchy curries, tandoori-grilled specialities, classic chaat snacks, and more, all accompanied by Indian-inspired cocktails, a curated wine list, and mood-setting tunes.

PUTNEY NEWCOMER PICKS UP THIRD AWARD
The latest addition to the Putney dining scene, RAAZ, has picked up three restaurant awards in as many months. The modern India establishment, which opened in September, has added ‘Best Newcomer – Fine Dining’ at the Asian Food & Drink Awards [AFRA] held at the iconic Dilly Hotel in the West End in December, to its haul.
RAAZ also received similar accolades from the Good Curry Guide (Best Newcomer London) and International Culinary Guides (Best Asian Newcomer – UK) at the end of last year.
